This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted April 2, 2021.

Bandsintown is in search of a self-directed and experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join its Finance team.

The position is based in our Montreal office.The successful candidate will participate in the full accounts payable cycle and assist in month end closing procedures including recording journal entries, reconciling accounts and preparing bank reconciliations.

The role can also provide potential for someone who will look to grow with the company in future years.Your Responsibilities And DutiesAccounts Payable Responsible for Accounts Payable process and adequate tracking of all payments and expenditures, including purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.

Enters vendor invoices into the accounting system in a timely, complete, and accurate manner.

Reviews vendor statements and seeks resolution of outstanding items.

Prepares weekly vendor payments and ensures that all invoices have appropriate approvals.

Ensures implementation of the company’s policy related to engagement of expenditures.

Ensures that vendor enquiries are addressed in a timely manner.

Ensures that the Contract inventory is up to date.

Closing and Reporting Reconciling bank statements for all legal entities.

Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.

Entering monthly accrual, prepaid journal entries in the accounting system.

Prepare Aging Payables aging report and other account reconciliations.

Prepare quarterly government sales tax reports.

Other Actively participate in the updating of the current general ledger, customer, and vendor accounts in the current accounting system.

Assist in creating customer invoices and booking amounts receivables accordingly.

Support year-end external audit by preparing and providing information for auditors.

Ad hoc requests.

RequirementsQualifications and Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline At least 2 years of practical experience in accounting Hands-on experience with accounting software packages Experience with Oracle Netsuite is preferred but not required.
