This function plays a critical role for CMF with respect to engaging and directing the allocation of capital across our active strategies in support of the SMD-CMF and CMF-IC, leading the annual ID Signals process, building an enhanced reporting and attribution framework to assess and track program performance, identifying new strategies/solutions both internally within CMF and in partnership with TFM, supporting the operationalization of new investment strategies and coordinating any portfolio related compliance.

In addition, in working in partnership with our key stakeholders across the Fund, this role will contribute to enhancing the Fund’s understanding of CMF’s various businesses and the important role they play in the context of the Fund’s investment portfolio.Help develop the relationship with TFM on behalf of CMFAssist with developing a comprehensive understanding of the Fund’s investment framework, and how each of CMF’s programs contribute to our overall investment portfolioEnable a CMF-wide understanding of developments with respect to overall portfolio construction and TFM’s key prioritiesCreate materials in support of S& O presentations to the CMF-ICSupport the development and maintenance of a comprehensive program reporting and attribution framework for CMFAttribution framework should serve to i) ensure CMF’s ID Signals, investment objectives and performance targets are monitored and met, ii) support investment decision making by SMD CMF and CMF-IC, iii) support development of new investment strategies/solutions internally within CMF, and in partnership with TFM, and iv) inform program resource allocationAttribution framework should mirror and align with the framework TFM is building to ensure consistency of information across TFM and CMReports should sync with the metrics MI& A is tracking such that CMF is represented accurately across the firmParticipate in the annual and multi-year ID Signals process, including launch and evolution of new and evolving programsWork with the Strategy team to develop a comprehensive project plan to achieve key milestones in line with TFM’s Strategic Allocation Cycle timelineHelp refine existing and design new mandates for CMF with a particular focus on documentation and governancePrepare materials to enhance the engagement with representatives across CMF groups through the Signals process, and on an on-going basis, ensuring transparency throughoutBolster the communication of ID Signal related decisions through the design and dissemination of supporting materialsAssist in the coordination of any ISC materials by the various CMF groupsSupport portfolio operation activities as requiredLiaise with S& O team members as neededto support the operationalization of new investment strategies and productsFacilitate compliance related implications of CMF portfolio with respect to Restricted List and Reputation Caution List procedures Qualifications5-7 years of relevant experience; Requires strongwritten and verbal communication skills, in particular the ability to articulate complex concepts in a user-friendly and digestible manner; Requires understanding of a wide breadth of asset classes and investment risk factors; Requires macro-economic knowledge of asset class behaviors; Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, including managing external stakeholders; Strategically-oriented, inquisitive and comfortable with ambiguityThis role will require a high degree of coordination across various internal and external stakeholders.

All tasks will require direct interaction with key individuals across CMF and TFM teams.

Each task will require a quantitative and qualitative assessment, coordination and messaging with key stakeholders, and communication of outcomes including strategic considerations and their implications.

The Strategy function is a new area of development for a relatively new department (CMF), thus creative solutions and a flexible working style will be required in addition to patience and the ability to iterate.This role is expected to have a high level of interaction work with various groups within CMF and across the enterprise, principally focused with groups across TFM and MI& A.
