Interim Analyst, Transportation Finance

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for conducting reporting and analytical functions related to Inter Pipeline”s conventional pipeline system and will be a key member of the Pipeline Finance team within the Transportation business unit.This is a six-month term position with the possibility of extension.Qualifications:Completion of a bachelor”s degree in business, finance, or accountingExperience:3 years of related experience in the oil and gas industry, along with working knowledge of midstream infrastructure and operationsSkills:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAPStrong analytical and financial modeling skills along with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracyDemonstrated ability to interpret and communicate business analysesWell-developed presentation, communication and interpersonal skills are requiredMust be organized, highly adaptable and able to work well in a fast paced, growth environmentKey Activities and Responsibilities:Accountable for the preparation and reporting of monthly forecasts, accruals, and actuals; as well as annual revenue budget related to Inter Pipeline”s conventional pipeline systemWork closely with Transportation Accounting to ensure business activities are reported accurately in accordance with accounting principles and corporate policiesConduct economic analysis to evaluate the viability of operations and maintenance projects as well as profitability assessments to facilitate business decisionsManage tolling database and maintain commercial scorecards for the monitoring of business performanceSupport contract administration and back/mid-office functions, including the generation and verification of invoicesKey liaison for internal groups within Inter Pipeline, such as Transportation Accounting, Pipeline Logistics & Reporting, Corporate Planning & AnalysisEnhance business, marketing and competitive intelligence in support of commercial activitiesDevelop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholdersHours:Standard: Monday – FridayAs this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion a criminal background check with satisfactory results.Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for this position as a condition of employment.
