With pan-Canadian activities and a presence in the U.S., the Group is an important player in numerous market segments.This role sits within LBC Tech, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.As a Senior Analyst, Application Development, the incumbent will be responsible mainly to ensure the proper functioning of multiple critical applications for Laurentian Bank Securities.Under the guidance of the senior manager applications development, he/she will work on requests from the business line including but not limited to new development, this implies proper change management, incidents management and ad-hoc requests ensuring completion within an acceptable timeframe.ResponsibilitiesºAct as a bridge between the different LBS Business lines and the development team.ºEnsure proper incident and change management.ºEnsure application support for the monthly LBS statements creation and daily trade confirms process.ºAnalyze business requests for application enhancements, provide cost and timeline estimations.

ºVendor management.

ºParticipate & contribute in projects for the sector.ºManage documentation.ºCoordinate and participate in IT internal and external audits.QualificationsºUniversity degree in computer science or a related field and a minimum of 7 to 8 years of related experience; all other combinations of education and equivalent experience may be considered.ºProgramming languages: C#, Visual Basic .Net, VB6, MS AccessºGood understanding of SQL language (Stored procedures, views).ºExcellent communication skills.ºBilingual (French and English)ºExcellent leadership skills.ºAutonomous and proactive in handling requests.ºAbility to work under pressure (incidents, tight deadlines and several projects at once)ºAbility to work as part of a team and collaborate.ºAnalytical mind and demonstrated problem-solving skills.ºConcern for producing quality work and meeting deadlines.ºSense of responsibility.Good to haveºKnowledge of the securities business.ºGood understanding of Java.Additional InformationWe welcome and encourage applications from individuals from all groups, including aboriginal, women, visible minorities, and persons with disabilities, regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, creed, family status, national origin, age and gender.
