The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 year experience, a diverse list of established relationships and be licensed in both Canada and the United States.

Proficiency in industry standard trading platforms and a good working knowledge of settlement procedures and account opening are preferred.Laurentian Bank Securities (LBS) Institutional Equities division is focusing on Canadian-listed companies, with a full-service offering including research, sales, trading and investment banking, providing value-added service to both our corporate and institutional clients.

Our expertise focuses on the analysis of companies with an emphasis on identifying emerging investment trends and the underlying companies that offer sustainable growth, attractive risk-adjusted valuations and which are led by strong, driven management teams.ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will be responsible for:º Providing best execution for client orders, by implementing specific trading strategies and making real-time trading strategy recommendations in regard to the client’s investment objectivesºProviding a knowledgeable personalized service, market intelligence, news, flow information, and trading ideas to LBS institutional clients.ºIdentifying opportunities for cross-selling within LBS and Laurentian Bank of Canada Financial Group (LBCFG) to deliver full value of the Group to clientsºEstablishing close relationships with both existing and new institutional clients and seek opportunities to increase the profitability of these relationships.ºMaximizing the utilization of trading desks, research analyst, strategists and salespeople capabilities to generate trade flow and deepen LBS penetration in Canada and extending to the US.QualificationsºBachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or a similar discipline.
