The Opportunity: We are looking for a Regional Director, Online Brokerage and Digital Wealth based in Vancouver, to be a part of our National Digital Wealth Sales team on a 12 month contract.

This can be a remote role, however for those who would like to come into the office we are at 1111 West Georgia St, Vancouver, BC.

Reporting to the SVP, Head of Online Brokerage and Digital Wealth the Regional Director, Online Brokerage & Digital Wealth is responsible for managing and growing existing relationships and to prospect and build new relationships to generate and support sales within our growing distribution network.

Success will be measured through delivering sales results, initiating, and building long-lasting relationships and demonstrating a passion for success and tenacity.

This team provides sales support for Qtrade’s online brokerage and digital advice product solutions to a variety of Credit Union and National Partners, including wealth management firms, insurance companies, MGAs and associations which offer these services to their clients.

You proactively encourage collaboration, build trust and inclusion, and work to establish effective relationships both inside and outside of the organization What your day looks like: Develop and execute a comprehensive territory sales plan to meet and exceed agreed-upon sales targets, consistent with our overall business strategies Establish and build consultative relationships with the retail and sales leaders within partnering financial institutions (CU and National Partner channels) positioning the benefits of online brokerage and digital advice to their organization and their client base Expand our distribution network within your assigned territory by prospecting for and building new referral partners Arranges one-on-one, group and/or branch meetings with partner’s front-line sales staff, financial advisors, and sales leaders to promote Qtrade Investor and digital advice Promote additional direct to client do-it-yourself wealth management offerings available through Qtrade Promote Qtrade’s investment management and insurance offerings as opportunities arise Prepare and deliver presentations to sales leaders and advisors that improve their ability to sell Qtrade Investor and digital advice and enhances their wealth management offering within their organization Deliver webinars and live WebEx training sessions Organize and promote special events, and reward and recognition programs, campaigns Represent Qtrade at financial institution partner events such as awards evenings, branch functions, client evenings etc.

Work in partnership with Manager, Online Brokerage, Sales, and Partner Support, to drive sales of Qtrade Investor and digital advice within your territory of responsibility Involved in special projects as required Manage expenses within an approved budget Your experience and skills: Must have a minimum of five years’ investment-related sales and service experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a wealth management or online brokerage organization, with increasing sales responsibilities Strong strategic prospecting and new business development skills Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics or General Management and CFA, CFP or CIM/FCSI designations preferred Proven track record of proactive sales results and growth in territory Strong territory and time management skills Familiarity with online brokerage and digital advice is critical Knowledge of and background in mutual fund products and sales considered an asset Strong technical and problem-solving skills related to the investment, tax, and legal issues associated with investment products Capable of integrating knowledge into solutions that meet the needs of our partners’ clients, while helping the advisor and the organization develop strategies that allow them to capitalize on these opportunities Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on presentation skills Self-starter mentality with lots of initiative Ability to travel extensively within territory of responsibility Why Aviso Wealth?
