The hours would be allocated on an ” As required” basis.

We are seeking a motivated, self-directed individual with analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and an understanding of the engineering consulting industry.Job DescriptionUnder the general supervision of the VP, the Scheduler/Cost Controller will be responsible for advanced planning, scheduling, cost tracking, progress monitoring and measurement, facilitate change/risk management and analysis, project reviews and reporting that may involve a major project or several smaller projects.

This position will encompass administrative functions for the planning and scheduling and cost control discipline for project and corporate management and to support departmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities:Work with Project Managers and Discipline Leads to define schedule scope/WBSDevelop and update detailed project schedules (Level 1 to 4) with proper identification of critical path items and milestones, resource load the schedule with estimated quantities, hours, and costReview and integrate third party schedules into a project master scheduleOrganize schedule data and develop Basis of Schedule documentationAnalyze the impact of changes in scope of work to the scheduleMaintain and update schedule forecast and the critical path throughout the project life cycleMonitor, review, and analyze the schedule and status during all phases of the project, including the analysis of any schedule deviations and corrective actionsProvide the project team with up-to-date project schedule information including trends and forecasts as well as progress, schedule and planning input to regular project reportsInterface with management, client representatives, and others to establish baselines and provide required reporting and analysis with variance explanationAttend periodic reviews and establish and maintain forecasts for all packages and ensure full coding, based on EPCM status report, expenditures and project changes/trends Import detailed actual cost and commitment data into cost system and run complete detailed baseline cost report by packageParticipate in the trending and change management process and incorporate approved trends into the project baseline and estimate at completionUpdate budget, commitment, forecast, payment, and cost statement for monthly project status reportCoordinate with other project teams to ensure successful delivery and project executionResponsible for accurate and timely project detailed reports which include; budget, progress, productivity, manpower, schedule and man-hours trending and forecastingExecute proper controls to proactively support, monitor, and communicate budget, actual status, and forecast costs, labour hours, and quantities for projectsSuggests methods to improve project plan and mitigate schedule slippage identify areas of concerns and make recommendations for corrective actions.QualificationsBSc..

in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred5+ years of experience in scheduling and cost control in a multidiscipline project environment, including thorough knowledge of project estimating, project development, scheduling methods and procurement processesProficiency in project planning and scheduling using Primavera P6 and MS-ProjectProficiency in project reporting and progress measurement systemsFamiliar with PRISM Engineering Management software is an assetExperience within an engineering consulting environment strongly preferred.Good knowledge of cost control, budgeting, cost forecasting, cash flows, earned value and estimatingOverview of procurement, contracts, planning, scheduling and engineering processes and proceduresStrong understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Ability to produce quality work with a high degree of accuracy and consistencyAbility to exercise independent judgment in planning, scheduling, and organizing work assignmentsTeam player with good facilitation skills and a client focusVery strong interpersonal and communication skillsAdditional InformationSacré Davey offers a competitive compensation package, as well as a creative, cohesive work environment and continuous opportunity for development.
