Senior Fund Accountant – Private Equity

This is a Contract position in Mississauga, ON posted June 22, 2021.

* Assist with the management of client relationships, respond to requests for information from both client personnel and fund investors* Supervise team’s staff accountants* Review general journal entries including periodic investment income and expense accruals* Review accounts payable and cash disbursements processing* Maintain general ledger, including preparation and update of financial statements and other accounting reports* Review bank, custody, and other account reconciliations* Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial work paper packages* First level review of quarterly and annual financial statements* Prepare and/or review periodic fund calculations including capital calls, management fees, and investor income allocations and distributions* Review documentation and information provided to auditors* First level review of annual tax work paper packages* Review and/or prepare various communications to clients and investment fund investors* Perform other duties as requiredMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, or based on an individual’s status in any group or class otherwise protected under applicable human rights legislation.
