Our product brands, created from the recovery of resources often considered waste, include N-Rich®, All Treat Farms® and Gro-Bark®.General LabourerToday, we have an opportunity for you to join us as a General Labourer for one of our Organics Collection & Recycling facilities.  This is a full-time, hourly union position working Monday to Friday.  We offer a competitive rate, and full benefits after a 3 month probation period. A pension plan is provided after nine months of work and your uniform and tools will be provided.Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for performing customer service as it relates to collection of preprocessed product, grease trap cleaning and deliveries of processed product to customers.To carry out job duties, you must be physically fit and able to perform the work involved, you must be a team player and have the ability to lift 50lbs.Work experience and other requirements:* Two or more years driving experience* Clean drivers abstract and criminal background check* Certified Professional Driver Safety Training Course Certificate* Must be physically fit and able to do the work involved* Willingness to be On Call as per posted schedule* Valid British Columbia Class 5 Driver’s License (minimum)* Customer service experience* Experience operating a vacuum truck an assetWorking at Walker IndustriesEstablished in 1887, we are proud to be a fifth-generation, family-owned, Canadian company.
