BlackBerry IVY, our intelligent vehicle data platform, allows automakers to bring new digital services to market faster in a cost-effective way.  BlackBerry IVY, co-developed with Amazon Web Services, generates insights from vehicle data on the edge and is controlled in the cloud, enabling a broad ecosystem of partners to deliver value on vehicle data at scale.

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team.  The successful candidate will work toward the common goal of delivering innovative new technologies to ensure BlackBerry IVY delivers on its vision.


  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of experts, including development, architecture and product to build BlackBerry IVY
  • Design and implement new software features for IVY
  • Opportunities to help drive innovation and new development
  • Collaborate with team members, brainstorming design ideas, implementing building blocks that will become the foundation of upcoming BlackBerry releases


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years strong design, programming, and research experience and skills
  • 5+ years strong programming skills in modern C++
  • Work experience with programming in Linux or QNX environment
  • Strong skills for troubleshooting and problem solving with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with excellent time management and organization skills
  • Curious attitude and self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in team as well as independently


  • Programming skills in Python and Java
  • Experienced with GIT, Make/CMake, CI/CD pipeline
  • Knowledge in networking, security, and cryptography
  • Familiar with QNX and AWS
