Job DescriptionHome Care Assistance Waterloo is currently hiring PSWs who have good interpersonal skills and a good command of the English language.The right candidate MUST be comfortable working with Covid patients.Compensation: Up to $19/hr (Based upon the experience)Working hours: Nights 11 PM to 7 AM ( Mon, Tue, Wed ) and 8 PM to 8 AM (Sat and Sun)Work location: Guelph, ONOffers:Free parking, Friendly helpful staff, Hands-on training.Full PPE is provided: Surgical Masks, Face Shield, Gowns, GlovesDuties:Working as a PSW at a facility assisting the clients on daily basis.Assisting some residents suffering from positive covid-19.Taking care of client(s) with their daily routine such as medication, bathing, changing clothes etc.Assisting with prepping the meals.Keeping a track of all the client’s health and report any changes to the RPN (Registered Practical Nurse).Check for any symptoms related to Covid-19 and report if found any.Maintain proper and detailed documentation of work on a daily basis.Assist with laundry and other departments when needed.Follow government health rules and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.Work in a team of different PSWs available in the centre to take care of all the clients.Ensure the PPE (Proper Protective Equipment) is worn all the time for safety purposes (PPE will be provided from us).Perform other duties assigned.Qualification:Previous experience working in a similar role.Students with summer break are welcome to apply.Comfortable working around positive Covid-19 patients.Experience working in a nursing home considered a strong asset.Excellent written, and verbal communication skills.Good knowledge of healthcare rules and regulations.Must be a team player.Able to work under pressure.Pre-requisiteValid G Driver’s License and access to vehicle.If you enjoy the company of the elderly and like to ” Change the way the worldages” then we need youPowered by JazzHRIeGcG2r5KA
