The recruitment team at Myticas Consulting is looking for an experienced Telecom Support Engineer who would be interested in a remote full-time permanent opportunity headquartered within the Montreal, QC region.This position is responsible for the execution of all operational tasks required to maintain existing network infrastructure and to document all changes that take place on the Data and VoIP platforms according to the established organizational procedures and standards of our clientsnetworks.Responsibilities: Respond to support requests from customers via telephone and e-mail.Install and configure LAN/WAN hardware equipment and software.Install and configure IP phones as well setup auto provisioningProvision new WAN connection on routers and L3 switches such Cable, DSL, Ethernet, Gig Ethernet.Troubleshoot networking hardware, software and provide detailed analysis of networking problems by using the proper diagnostic tools for Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet and wireless technologies.Follow up on opened trouble tickets with providers and partners to ensure quick resolution.Maintain and monitor existing infrastructure internally and/or remotely.Participate in new projects, in the planning and testing and implementation phases.Qualifications:In depth experience & knowledge of TCP/IP & routing protocols (OSPF-BGP-EIGRP-HSRP-MPLS VRRP etc..)In depth experience & knowledge of VPN technologies (IPSEC – IKE – 3DES – SSL Certificates etc..)Excellent Knowledge of Sip trunking elastix-asterisk freePBXExperience with configuring and troubleshooting IP phones such as Yealink, Cisco 3PCC, Avaya, PolycomKnowledge of Unified Communication such Broadsoft/Cisco cloud platformExperience with GSX9000HD PSX Manager (Sonus) would be an assetKnowledge of Security architectures and firewalls (Checkpoint, PFsense, Cisco ASA etc..)In depth knowledge of LAN architecture and VLANs.Excellent Knowledge of VoIP protocols such as H323, SIP.Knowledge of Avaya/Nortel and Cisco vendor specific hardware is requiredExperience in the planning, testing and implementing new Voice and Data network topologies.Experience in the installation and maintenance of networking equipment (routers, layer 2 and 3 switches, firewalls, ASA).Minimum 1-2 years hands on experience in the LAN/WAN environment in medium to large environmentsMinimum 2-3 years hands on experience with Routers and switches configurations and installations in medium to large environmentsExperience with monitoring tools such as MRTG, Nagios, Cacti, Sniffer etc..CCNP certification or equivalent experience is required.Service provider experience and exposure is an asset.
