Vice President Sales and Customer ServiceThe TCS Group of Companies is seeking a VP of Sales and Customer Service within our busy, expanding, third-party logistics organization.

Located on the banks of the Bay of Quinte, Trenton Cold Storage offers customized cold storage, temperature-controlled warehousing, and distribution since 1902.

With seven warehouse facilities in Ontario and two in Alberta, Trenton Cold Storage provides Canada with more than 32,000,000 cubic feet of cold storage and refrigerated warehouse space.

Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Sales and Customer Service will be responsible for driving sales through new business opportunities as well as maximizing revenue with existing customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and developing marketing programs to increase revenue and profits.

The VP of Sales and Customer Service shall be responsible for building strategic business relationships, formulating innovative business development strategies and providing vision for all sales and customer service strategies and their execution.

As a member of the Leadership Team, the Vice President of Sales and Customer Service shall participate in the development of Trenton Cold Storage’s priorities and objectives.The VP of Sales and Customer Services is responsible for the financial health and performance of Trenton Cold Storage and achieving business targets.

As an effective leader, they will not only anticipate roadblocks that their team may encounter but also inspire them to think differently and ensure that they keep the customer and colleagues top of mind in every decision they make and every process they implement.

Accountabilities:
·Provide vision and leadership that encourages growth and safeguards the assets and financial viability of the company.
·Develop and implement sales goals and objectives for the sales team, including the preparation of sales plans and budgets.

Create and execute targeted action plans to generate new sales leads and prospects in the market.
·Coach and lead performance of the sales and customer service departments to maximize relationships with customers
·Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit, revenue, and volume goals.

·Conduct regular analysis on customer requirements and pricing effectiveness and create actionable item lists based on findings
·Expand on existing transportation relationship and explore new relationships that would help create a competitive advantage for the company in the logistics provided to our customers.
·Collaborate with leadership to develop short and long-term strategic plans, including the preparation of annual business plans.

Develop business plans for service improvements and the addition of new services.

·In keeping with the culture, demonstrate and encourage teamwork and cooperation with all departments.
·Travel to all TCS sites across Canada and trade shows and customer sites as requiredRole requirements:
·At least 10 years of senior management sales experience in large, multiple location operations preferably in the warehousing or food industry.
·Able to work effectively in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment.
·Possesses a strong blend of both strategic and sales capabilities with a proven ability to develop and execute short and long-term plans in line with corporate strategic objectives.
·A strong understanding of the competitive landscape in order to recognize and capitalize on opportunities
·Proactively confronts and resolves issues and is able to influence and help the organization adopt new ways of thinking.

The successful candidate must also
·Be available for travel as required
·Be able to work in excess of stated office hours to get the job done.
·Possess a business administration or marketing management degree or equivalent (advanced degree preferred).

MBA or similar degree an asset.
