Summary The Instructional Designer, Workplace Learning Solutions (WLS) will be responsible for managing the development of new & existing training products, and be heavily involved in all aspects of design.

Responsibilities: Develop content for instructor led classroom and e-learning products Conduct needs/gap analysis in existing training materials for improved learning experiences Ensure all training materials are clear, concise, consistent, and instructionally sound Construct learning objectives for optimal assessment of learning retention Liaise with Subject Matter Experts, as required, throughout the design and development process for content validation Develop measurement and evaluation tools to test the effectiveness of the training developed Back up support coordinating E-Learning Administrators Back up support with external vendor in troubleshooting LMS Back up support to prepares and distribute LMS training updates and reports (i.e.

LMS outcomes reports, trends) as needed Collaborates and provides consultation with business partners and subject matter experts to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate training solutions.

Effectively manage training projects and prioritization.

Anticipate and escalate project issues as they develop Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions as needed Coordinate required scheduling, presentations, resource requirements for training Maintains training materials, handbooks, user guides Involvement in departmental or corporate projects as appropriate Other duties/projects as assigned Succeeding in the Instructional Designer, WLS role will require the following core qualifications and skills: Undergraduate degree in related discipline 2-7 years of experience in instructional design Knowledge of instructional design techniques, with a particular emphasis on developing instructor led training programs Adult Learning, Organizational Development, EAP or HR experience Strong proficiency with instructional design tools Project management skills Strong written and oral communication skills Strong analytical skills, presentation, and consultative skills Job Grade: MS4 Fulfilling work that matters Morneau Shepell is in the business of helping organizations help their people and in the process, we strive to elevate ours.
