In reality, however, most content on the web is not designed to meet the needs of this majority.

We founded Visual Capitalist in 2011 under the belief that art, data, and storytelling can be combined in a manner that makes complex issues and processes more digestible.Using infographics, data visualizations, and charts, we create visually-intuitive content on business and investing to reach over 6 million unique visitors per month.

In addition, we are regular contributors to the World Economic Forum, Business Insider, Zero Hedge, MarketWatch, and CNBC.Role and ResponsibilitiesWe’re looking for a Strategic Account Manager that can help us maximize the performance of our client campaigns from strategy to execution, including taking on the following responsibilities:Understanding the goals and objectives of our clients, while building trusted relationships with them to help them accomplish those goals using our platformIdentifying client challenges early so they can be solved by relevant team membersOverseeing the rollout of campaigns, and making adjustments and strategy recommendations to optimize them where need beHigh-level oversight: content creation, graphical asset creation, advertisement and sponsorship scheduling, and client reporting and analyticsCommunicating with both clients and internal stakeholdersHelping manage various internal processes for execution of client campaignsHelping renew client accounts and positioning our platform as a key part of their future successAre You a Fit?Above and beyond the job descriptors above, here are some other traits, skills, and experience we are looking for:Excellent Communicator:You are well-written, well-spoken, and can communicate with team members at all levels.

You can articulate ideas while being personable, approachable, and diplomatic, with the ability to give and receive constructive criticism.Analytical and Detail-Oriented: You can troubleshoot and problem solve based on available information, and you are meticulous with the fine details.Organized Multi-Tasker: You can juggle multiple tasks and deadlines while staying organized.Resourceful and Self-Starting: If you don’t know how to best do something, you can figure it out.

You have a bias towards action and can move projects forward.Data-Driven and Visual: You learn visually, and you see the power of data-driven, non-biased content in helping make a complex world more understandable.Experience: You have at least 5 years of experience (ideally: 7-10 years) in account management, media, advertising, and/or sales.

You have a BCom (or relevant business experience) and feel comfortable making challenging and analytical campaign-related decisions.CompensationThe successful candidate will take a full-time role based on experience and market value.
