ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTSUMMARYThe IT Business Partner & Enterprise Architect isresponsible for helping business leaders enable their future-state capabilities through business value of IT.

This drives the company’s outcomes by the choice of solutions built with applications, data and technology the organization chooses to invest in.

The role interfaces with business functions for business technology strategy development and solution discovery purposes.

The IT Business Partner & Enterprise Architect possesses extensive experience from retail and wholesale industry and enterprise architecture that allows the incumbent to model and build roadmap solutions implementation to guide, support and help the business partners.The person in this role practically applies existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business models, challenges and issues.

This role proactively and holistically defines and supports the IT enterprise architecture and IT innovation capabilities.

This role will ensure that the respective business, application, data and technology perspectives are in line with the organization’s technology and governance strategies, policies and standards.The IT Business Partner & Enterprise Architect will work closely with and across multiple teams to ensure designed solutions integrate within and across business process areas, while applying leading practices and compliance with the compagny’s IT strategy.ResponsibilitiesProvide architectural vision and guidance demonstrating expertise, creativity, flexibility, and empathyEstablish a strong relationship with executives and managers within both IT and business functions across the organization, demonstrating a solid grasp of their needs and the ability to explain complex architectural topics to themEnsure technological scanning with business partners, identify opportunities for innovative business solutions, develop recommendations and solution concepts, and carry out business cases/discoveries for new investmentsExecute and evolve the IT enterprise architecture and facilitate the establishment of architectural orientations for the IT strategic planDefine and support the IT enterprise architecture and IT innovation capabilitiesFacilitate the establishment and execution of the roadmap and vision of enterprise architecture at business, data, application and technology levelLiaise with solution architects and projects to maintain solutions that fulfill the business requirements and align with the business vision and strategyWork closely with various teams (Business, Vendors, Partners, Development, Infrastructure, PMO, etc.) to define and implement elegant, scalable and sustainable business solutions using the appropriate technologies, while adhering to standards and best practicesGuide, review and participate in the approval process of the architecture solutions, roadmaps, integration services, frameworks, standards, and models developed and maintained by others, ensuring that they are consistent with the architecture strategy and standardsDefine architecture standards and patterns to guide solution decisions for application modernization initiativesRequirementsUniversity degree in a related field or the equivalent experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities and resultsExperience with a minimum of 8 years as an IT enterprise architect and business partner in a large/complex organization or solution providerAbility to influence and leadership, political sense, teamwork, customer focus, planning, sense of innovation and creativityStrong self-management, initiative, and skill in leading without direct authority and decision-making competenciesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to empathize with other points of viewAbility to communicate conceptual and technical information effectively and efficiently to both technical and business management and staffApplication of industry enterprise architecture frameworks, including TOGAF, ITIL, ZachmanBusiness knowledge of one or more business domain specific to retail and wholesale industrySolid knowledge of Enterprise Architecture concepts, techniques, and disciplineKnowledge of typical architecture activities and deliverables, including creation and presentation of roadmaps, strategic proposals, business case, standards, and modelsKnowledge of cost benefit analysis and project risk assessment techniquesA strong, pragmatic approach to leading architecture solutions, with a proven record in technology strategy planning and deliveryKnowledge and application of Agile methodologies and frameworks (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum)Effective spoken and written communications skills (French and English)
