Position Description
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a psychologist for a part-time, temporary (12 month) position in the Borderline Personality Disorder Service. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that is actively involved in clinical, research and education with the aim of improving health care for people with Borderline Personality Disorder. Reporting directly to the Clinic Head and Program Manager, you will have responsibilities in clinical work, research, as well as provision of education and training. Clinical responsibilities include assessment, the provision of treatment based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), individual and group treatment and clinical supervision of trainees. The psychologist will contribute to the development of new and innovative programs which may include integrated BPD-trauma interventions, as well as, research and capacity building among other CAMH programs. You will be expected to contribute to the training program for practicum and doctoral level clinical psychology interns in the clinical assessment and treatment of clients. You will be expected to contribute to research relevant to the area of BPD and participate in educational activities. You will ensure that care is coordinated where multiple services are involved. You will be able to work with clients and family members from diverse populations, and contribute to program development. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting the inter-professional team and community outreach initiatives. You must be able to work independently and effectively in an inter-professional team environment and with diverse stakeholders. This position will require flexibility in working with variety of clinical teams. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable standards and regulatory requirements. This position is located at 60 White Squirrel Way and work will also be conducted virtually. Evening hours may be required at times for client services.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will hold a doctoral degree in Psychology or equivalent and be registered in good standing or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario in autonomous practice combined with supervised training in DBT with 3 years demonstrated experience conducting DBT for individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder. Experience in the delivery of DBT and providing supervision of DBT is essential. The successful candidate must have 2 years participating in a DBT team consult model and must be eligible for DBT certification. The successful candidate must have extensive experience facilitating dbt groups and individual dbt sessions for more than 3 years. Demonstrated successful experience in capacity building activities within health care and educational activities with students is required. Strong research skills and potential to develop a program of research are required. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within an inter-professional team are essential. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, both in writing and in oral presentation and can work effectively within deadlines. Familiarity with computer-based programs (word processing, electronic communication, workload measures) is required. The capacity to work with clients of diverse backgrounds is required. Bilingualism (English/French) and/or proficiency in a second language is an asset.

Salary Range: $50.11 – $67.57 per hour
