This is a Contract position in Fort-Saint-John, BC posted July 28, 2021.

Position Summary Reporting to the Team Lead, Interprofessional Teams, the Community Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the delivery of Community Respiratory Services within Northern Health including promotion of respiratory health, assessment, diagnostic testing, education, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with respiratory dysfunction. Formulates and documents respiratory care plans and disease self-management strategies.   Qualifications – Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) credentialing exam. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT). Two years’ recent related experience in respiratory home care, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current CPR certification.
– Valid BC driver’s license and access to personal vehicle for work related purposes.

– Ability to educate patients on effective respiratory disease management.
