Complex Care & Recovery Program

Position Description
The Complex Care and Recovery program requires a full-time, temporary (12 months) Social Worker 2 to work collaboratively in its Sexual Behaviours Clinic. Reporting to the Manager you will be a member of an inter-professional team. Responsibilities include; providing intake related tasks, assessment and treatment to adults who have sexual behaviours that interfere with their life or those who’ve been convicted of sexual offences. Intake duties include, but are not limited to; collaborating with Access CAMH to stream referrals, screening of referrals, obtaining collateral information, conducting phone screens, scheduling intake sessions, and working closely with SBC administrative staff to ensure referral process is followed. Treatment will be provided in both individual and group modalities. You will be responsible for liaising with police, probation and parole officers, CAS and other referral services regarding developing, implementing and supervising risk management plans, formulating treatment plans, and providing discipline specific services. Candidates should possess knowledge of community resources as it relates to this client population. You will be expected to contribute to program development and to the research and educational activities of the service.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Master of Social Work (MSW) in good standing combined with a preferred minimum of 3 years of post-graduate, direct clinical (psychotherapy) experience in the provision of mental health and/or addictions treatment. As a registered member in good standing authorized to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy, the candidate must show proof of registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). You must be eligible for an adjunct faculty appointment with faculties of Social Work that have affiliation agreements with CAMH in order to supervise social work students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to work within the inter-professional teams and to engage with clients, family members, and community care providers. You possess demonstrated knowledge and experience in concurrent disorders, mood and anxiety, trauma and evidence-based treatments. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced interprofessional clinical environment are essential. Knowledge of community resources and discharge planning is required. You will also be able to meet deadlines, and have excellent computer skills and knowledge of technology to enhance communication and learning. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset. Experience working with individuals from diverse ethno-cultural backgrounds is also required.

The candidate must have competence to perform psychotherapy and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) or other modalities (depending on the needs of the program). Preference will be given to those who hold certificates/certification. For Registered Social Worker incumbents not yet in independent practice who are required to practice with clinical supervision, CAMH, in its discretion, will pre-arrange this formal supervisory relationship with the clinical program as a condition of hire, based on capacity.

Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Salary Range:
$36.04 to $48.57 per hour
