Position Summary: Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position acts as a first point of contact to employees on both payroll related inquiries and HR programs, including; company group benefits programs, health, dental, disability, leaves of absence, including educating and clarifying, providing recommendations, and resolving benefits issues.

This role is responsible for the administration of the companys time and attendance and payroll systems and for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related client services, including recordkeeping and reporting.

The HR component of this position is responsible for maintaining HR records, and handling administration of many facets of Human Resources.

Primary/Essential Responsibilities: First point of contact for employees for general HR inquiries, time and attendance and payroll.Process payroll and maintain payroll information as required: o Ensures appropriate audits in place and executed for continued data integrity o Ensure compliance with Federal & Provincial payroll legislation and company policy o Gross to net calculation, audit and balancing.

o Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports.

o Document workflow and work procedures.

o Cross-trains designated back-up to administer and process time and attendance and payroll.Research and resolve problems, perform scheduled activities, and liaison with service providers.Create, prepare, update and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity.


WSIB remittances, headcount, and various other HR reporting and metrics.

Prepare and maintain accurate records, document workflow and work procedures.

Human Resources Administer employee Group Benefit and Wellness Programs, Profit Sharing, Leaves of Absence, and Return to Work programsWork closely with the Human Resources team to assist in keeping employee records, progressions, hirings, terminations, benefits profiles, and other activities are administered correctlyMaintain confidential employee files, including labeling, archiving and retrieving files and ensures files are completeManage HRMS systems and ensure completeness and integrity of the corporate HR and payroll systems utilizing ADP Workforce Now, Cornerstone, and Clear Company.Participate in and coordinate employee programs, including Service and Recognition Awards Draft and communicate a variety of correspondence, announcements, reports, and supporting documentation within the realm of employee relations, special projects, and HRCo-ordinate, schedule, and verify various appointments, meetings, and trainings, when neededTrack any personnel changes in monthly reportsSupport the overall recruitment process for assigned vacanciesManage the orientation cycle, facilitate onboarding process with new employees with complete overview of the business, policies, procedures, and current company sponsored programs Update company bulletin boards with information regarding any training, open positions, new employees, company announcements, health & wellness activities, safety information, and legislated postingsProvide reception backup when neededOther duties as required.Required Qualifications: Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience and skill development requiredKnowledge of accounting practices and principles Minimum of three (3) years of general Human Resources.High degree of attention to detail, to ensure accuracy in reportingAbility to analyze reporting and provide recommendations as required.General knowledge of recruitment & selection, training & development, employee relations, and performance appraisalsGeneral knowledge of Ontario and Canada government employment legislationDemonstrated Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, specifically Microsoft ExcelExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customersExceptional communication skills, both verbal and written in EnglishAbility to maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with employee matters & informationPreferred Qualifications: Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation an assetWorking knowledge of ADP WorkForceNowPhysical Demands / Working Conditions: General Office Environment, PC useRegular and frequent manufacturing floor visits (PPE required) #LI-LM1
