Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML’s expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.Job description:Role SummaryReporting to the Controller, this individual will process the hourly employees payroll in a large organization.Key ResponsibilitiesTo process the payroll accurately and in a timely manner.Gather the required data and input into payroll system; Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and internal policies and procedures; Maintain payroll related files; Manage time andattendance system and absences; Prepare cheque requests related to payroll; Produce payrollreports as required for month-end and year-end processes.Reconcile payroll accounts in the general ledgerPrepare and review payroll journal entriesAssist in resolving employee inquiries in a professional mannerPersonal AttributesEffective trouble shooting for a variety of different situations/issues effectivelyAbility to exhibit a high level of confidentialityAbility to work with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detailAbility to work independently and also as part of a teamSelf-motivated, ability to initiate and follow tasks through to completionAbility to Multitask accustom to working in fast pace environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to manage and develop team membersStrong organizational and prioritizing abilitiesPhysical Demandsnormal amount of sitting and standing; ability to movearound an office environment and on the production floor; ability to workat a computer workstation; ability to bend, twist, lift, reach; ability to workflexible hours.Key Qualifications/Requirements3 to 5 years’ experience processing a payroll in a medium to large organization required; Grade 12 diploma required; Payroll Compliance Practioner (PCP) certification would be an asset; Prior accounting experience would be an asset.Strong Excel knowledge (vlookup, sumifs, pivot table, etc)Experience with ADP Global View would be an assetAdditional InformationAccommodations for disabilities in relation to the job selection process are available upon request.Profile description:www.Magna.ComWe offer:Competitive wages and benefits.
