Keep reading.We are looking for a passionate and pragmatic Engineering Manager to drive our existing end-to-end testing automation framework as part of the engineering department.

This role reports to the Director of Quality and Release.About The RoleAs an Engineering Manager for our end-to-end testing framework, you’ll lead ateam of engineersin the development and maintenance of test automation features and provide support to the rest of engineering (several product lines), who will make use of your team’s internally-facing test automation product, ensuring and iterating towards a good developer experience.

Theproducts you directly enable the development of will be used by caregiversmany times a day to understand the clients they’re seeing, clinically document their conditions, and manage their schedules.You’ll cultivate a strong team identitywithpersonalized coaching and mentoring,use yourunderstandingof our business to ensure that contextand impact are always clear, andkeep everyone accountable with aggressive-but-realistic delivery plans.AlayaCare uses Cypress written in Javascript for their end-to-end automated testing framework.In this role you will: Hire, grow, coachand motivate ateam of test automation framework developers, meeting their aspirations of ownership,impact, and careergrowth Set direction for the team, anticipating strategic challenges and business opportunities Lead sprint planning and agile activities Translate business objectivesinto software delivery activities Participate in architectural/technical design activitiesandcode reviews(without being the senior technologist),using themas opportunities to foster technical excellence Be accountable for your team’s health, productivity, and delivery strategy Demonstrate and live our values in all you do, and inspire others to do the same About You You want to make a difference in the world, helping the most vulnerable people Acompleteddegree ina computer-related field and/ordemonstratedlearningexperience 3+ yearsof people management experience in a technical industry, including strongcross-functionalleadership and organizational skills Concrete experience in managing test automation team(s) and projects Excellent knowledge in the software quality domain and software engineering Able to explain the pyramid of tests concept and the meaning of moving quality to the left to a 6-year-old child Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to express technical and business conceptsin approachable terms Strong knowledgeof contemporary software development practices, and opinions onhow to best deploy them Why AlayaCare is a great place to work You make a difference on how people live longer at home while getting the best care available You get access to the awesome O’Reilly learning environment You’ll work with supportive and highly skilled colleagues Stock options in a growing company Career growth and development Health and wellness activities Health benefits package Flexible vacation policy About AlayaCare AlayaCare is revolutionizing the way home care is delivered.
