Craft&Crew: Senior Developer

We’re growing our in-house development team.

To thrive in this role, you’ll have 5+ years of front-end / content management system development experience and can enjoy the pace and variety that comes with agency work.

You’re comfortable working directly with our clients and are as skilled at explaining your work as you are actually doing your work.This is a remote-optional role (everyone on our team is remote these days, but you can be remote post-COVID as well).

We’re limiting our search to within Canada.We’re a small, but mighty band of craftspeople and we value thinking outside of our lanes, working collaboratively to solve problems as a team.

Learn more about what it’s like at Craft& Crew.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate and support your team with the planning, design, and creation of exceptional websites within time and resource constraints.Guide and educate those around you about what you’re doing and why, to help move initiatives forward smoothly.Proactively contribute to ongoing improvements to our workflow, processes, and toolsets.Must-haves5+ years of large-scale website development, in an agency or consultancy environment, with at least 3+ years in a senior role.Ample experience with PHP-based content management systems for large-scale sites (vs.

a portfolio of small business websites), ideally some working experience with CraftCMS and/or Twig templating engine.A portfolio showcasing your abilities to code cleanly, solve technical challenges, and turn great designs into a high-polish website (we’ll ask you to walk us through a sample or two).An obsession with staying ahead of best practices and developments & trends in web and mobile technology.Ability to digest stakeholder goals, user research, complex user flows, and UI designs, translating these into usable, functional, and accessible experiences.Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, and the ability to deliver rationals to our clients and our internal team.Desire to improve, grow, adapt with feedback and experiences, becoming the best team player possible.Bonus pointsLet your character shine through.
