Reuters is seeking a Front-end Software Engineer to be a part of a small, high-performing team, reporting into Technology, with a dotted line to the Director of Global Customer Experience.

You will work on web interfaces and back-end services that support and our related mobile apps.

We are currently investing in our next generation of to make content discovery quicker and more accessible, improving client curation and enabling our targeted audience to consume more relevant stories (to their interest areas) faster than ever before.

About the Role As a Front-end Software Engineer , you will: Build and Develop
– software applications by understanding user needs, writing well-designed code, conducting validation/testing and executing the entire SDLC from design through release Be a Team Player
– work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, share information, diverse value ideas, partner with cross-functional and remote teams Be Curious & Innovative
– continuously update yourself with next-generation Technology, development tools, and contribute to process development practices Be an Agile Person

– articulate complex technical issues, and share ideas, participate in peer-reviews, and exhibit strong listening skills Take Ownership
– responsible for performance, reliability and implement changes for improving the efficiency of a technical component About You You’re a fit for the role of a Front-end Software Engineer if you: Have intermediate to advanced knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS.

– React, Webpack) Are experienced with A/B testing tools like Google Optimize, Optimizely, Convert, Etc.

Are experienced developing for mobile, desktop, and tablet Are familiar with CSS frameworks, pre and post-processors, preferable CSS modules and SASS Have an understanding of semantic HTML, SEO and Accessibility Have experience with source control such as Git and code reviews / git-flow Are experienced integrating with REST services and 3rd party APIs using AJAX / JSON Have demonstrated ability to learn new tools, frameworks, and languages quickly Preferred qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must be able to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences effectively.
