is currently seeking a Network Analyst – (Contract – 1 Year), based out of ARC’s Calgary office, who will be responsible for supporting the operation of the wide area and local area networking environments.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Information Technology, this position will offer the successful candidate broad exposure to all disciplines within the Information Technology at ARC Resources.

The primary responsibility of this position is supporting and maintaining the corporate and field networks in the Calgary head office and throughout British Columbia and Alberta to ensure they continue to run with the highest degree of uptime.

RESPONSIBILITES: Support the security and network infrastructure for the LAN and WAN, including coordination as necessary with other members of the network team or outside vendors Complete installation, configuration, and maintenance (including patches and upgrades) of the Cisco network with minimal direction.

Provide network security by configuring all devices to meet and exceed industry best practices for security configuration and monitor/review logs for potential security breaches Lead the implementation and maintenance of network backup and recovery plans to maintain reliable and secure network operations Act as a point of contact to provide support and troubleshooting for any local and remote networking related issues in a timely and accurate manner Coordinate and schedule field network activities with automation and radio network vendors Provide project management support for special projects and ongoing improvements Manage the evergreen hardware replacement schedule for network devices Research new technologies and make recommendations to the network team on enhancements that will improve the quality and reliability of the network performance Create and maintain network documentation, including detailed MS Visio diagrams and change management documentation Establish and maintain relationships as needed with the various business units throughout the organization to resolve issues, plan, test and communicate upgrades, and improve business processes where possible May require occasional travel to field locations in the Grande Prairie and Dawson Creek areas QUALIFICATIONS: Information Technology related degree or equivalent education from a recognized post-secondary institution A minimum of 5 years Cisco networking experience LAN: knowledge and working experience with Switch Stacks, Channeling, .1Q Trunking, Priority Queuing, security methodologies, Spanning Tree, VLAN’s, VRF’s WAN: knowledge and working experience with routing products and technologies such as EIGRP, BGP, OSPF,VRF,VPN’s, QoS, etc.

Firewall: knowledge and working experience with Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA, and Palo Alto Wireless: knowledge and working experience with Cisco Wireless using 9800 series Controllers Experience with highly available and fully redundant networking systems Experience working and setting up Data Center environments Preference will be given to candidates with Cisco certifications and experience with: Cisco ISE, Solarwinds, Industrial Control System technologies Windows Server OS and Windows desktop clients, NetApp storage technologies and concepts Experience with VMWare products, wireless, camera, cellular, and radio tower networks Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance Good organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to work independently and in a team orientated environment Good analytical, technical writing, and trouble shooting skills The ability to follow defined process and procedures Strong communication, organizational, customer service and problem-solving skills We thank you for your interest in ARC Resources Ltd., however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
