POSITION PURPOSE / SUMMARY STATEMENT(defines the major functions/purpose of the position):This position is responsible for analyzing credit data and financial information of individuals and corporations to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit by releasing new orders in a high-volume environment.The credit clerk/analyst consults with customers to resolve disputes and verify financial transactions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES(include titles of positions directly reporting to this position):This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:Interacts with all levels throughout organization including employees and outside vendors DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyze credit data and financial information to determine the degree of risk involved in releasing orders.Consult with customers to resolve disputes and verify financial transactions.Review customer files to identify and select delinquent accounts for collections.Evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, saving data, payment history, and purchasing history.Additional responsibilities assigned by the supervisor, as needed, related to the position/department.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing superior customer service.

This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standard for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction in order to improve the business relationship.Skilled at considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.Skilled at using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.The ability to add, subtracts, multiply, or divides quickly and correctly.The ability to combine pieces of information to form general conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).The ability to maintain high levels of organization, efficiency, and productivity while working independently.The ability to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork.
