Logistics Transport Advisor

 About the Role

To succeed with us in Supply Chain – Logistics, we need your well-rounded experience with Road Transport with special focus on driving a Safety culture for MSC (Manage Supply Chain) transportation activities. 

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills that inspire and energize people and create a clear sense of direction and priorities.
  • Ability to positively influence people, effectively drive work processes and ensure compliance with Company Safety Framework and policies.
  • Ability to drive execution and stretch the performance of people with a wide range of capabilities.
  • Comfortable with change and ambiguity such that informed decisions are made without undue delay. 
  • Courage to hold strong to views when challenging current practices to encourage exploration of new ideas that drive continuous improvement, for example: Digitization & Reporting
  • Demonstrate a strong personal commitment to Diversity and Inclusion through collaboration across functional and cultural boundaries 
  • Develop the capabilities of others through coaching, mentoring, and providing growth opportunities that help people build their learning mind set.


You will use your expertise to:

  • Help shape ways of working through end-to-end optimization and risk management, with focus on Human Performance Based Safety Philosophy in relation to various modes of transport within the Logistics competency.
  • Provide compelling performance feedback driving disciplined execution to deliver reliable, predictable results
  • Help the businesses build Logistics improvement plans and provide support to the execute team


To be successful, you will have: 

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in influencing Road Transport Safety within the Energy Sector.
  • Have a strong passion for transportation safety, with special focus on road safety.  
  • Experience driving safety as a client including communication, coaching and safety investigations. 
  • Expert with National Safety Code (NSC) – Transport Canada and Work Safe B.C legislation.
  • Knowledge of all transport related Control Framework safety manuals and guides.  (Including Road Transport, Aviation, RPAS, Rail, Marine)
  • Support Construction Project Phase onsite transportation.
  • Support developing policy and procedures related to Road Transport for the Asset phase.
  • Ability to drive data analytics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Strong communications, collaborative, networking, and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Ability to pull on other Subject Mater Experts to drive strong safety management plans.
  • Experience carrying out investigations, audits and assurance, champion sharing of best practices.
  • Have your CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional (Preferred)
  • Comfortable with taking on additional Supply Chain tasks to help drive performance at site.


This role requires that you:


  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit) 
  • Live in the beautiful District of Stikine (Kitimat/Terrace). For applicants located outside of the region, you are encouraged to explore what Kitimat has to offer in terms of lifestyle including schooling, local amenities, outdoor adventure, and housing, to ensure Kitimat is where you would like to call your new home.
  • Know that this is not a rotating Fly-in, Fly out role.
  • This is direct hire role with benefits
  • Are willing to comply with LNGC’s drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, a background check and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
  • Be willing to work in all weather conditions, including heavy snowfall and periods of heavy rain when required.
  • Have a Valid Driver’s license
