Air Laid Machine Operator

Our client is a leading manufacturer of processed paper products used in numerous industries. They are currently seeking an Air Laid Operator to join their Delta, BC operation.

Your main tasks will include:

• Responsible of the safe operation of the air laid machine.
• Maintains the quality of the pulp product (i.e. toiler paper, towels, napkins etc.) and production requirements with other operators.
• Identify and find solutions to mechanical problems with the machine.
• Identifies any safety hazards and timely communicate safety, production and quality issues to management.
• Assess and fulfill current and forecasted production levels and efficiently scale up production to meet organizational goals.
• Carry out other related tasks.

Requirements:

• Minimum high school completed with basic understanding of general math.
• Must have experience in manufacturing, preferably in a mill environment and familiar with paper making processes.
• Must have forklift license or willing to get certified.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Able to communicate English and follow the production guidelines.
• Ability to work 12 hours per day and night shifts (2-week rotation).
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.
