Job Summary: Project leader in the design, build, and maintenance and troubleshooting for tube roll forming and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications/ Education Requirements:Engineering Degree or Diploma10 years manufacturing/tooling experience in a related field (preferably in automotive)Knowledge of Quality standards IATF 16949AutoCAD and/or Solidworks CAD experience an assetCritical Success Factors:Excellent attendanceGood verbal and written communication skillsGood organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skillsGood management and leadership skillsGood computer proficiency / Good knowledge of Microsoft OfficeSolid working knowledge of roll forming processes, specifically double wall brake tubeAbility to review tooling drawings, evaluate, mark up and detail drawingsTroubleshooting of roll forming issues such as voids, wide copper, overlaps, diameters and tolerancesAbility to train, supervise and mentor Jr.

Engineers and work with production staff to resolve scrap or quality issues.Job Responsibilities and Duties: Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook.Maintain accurate throughput calculations for all manufacturing resourcesDetermine cycle times for manufacturing resourcesIdentify bottleneck resources and capacity constraint resourcesCo-ordinate throughput improvement effortsAssess operator utilizationPerform standardized work studiesImplement continuous improvements and monitor cost savingsMaintain key performance indicator charts/graphsImplement error proofingResponsible for the support of new launches, review customer requirements and define the in process controls to achieve it.

To lead the validation process for each oneReview shift reports and prioritize daily activitiesDesign tooling and quoteFollow up with suppliers, deliveries and costingDevelop new tooling and improve current designsMonitor and reduce scrap levelsCapacity planningCompletion of Work Instruction documentsSome off hours (phone calls) and occasional call in’s may be required to support production requirements.Evaluate and co-ordinate elimination of safety hazardsResponsibility and authority to deal with customers and suppliers that effect the company financially and strategicallyAssigns and maintains equipment numberingEstablishes tooling list, critical sparesKey member of machine validation team, Key member of APQP teamMaintains compliance to Engineering and IATF 16949 proceduresReview scrap data and develop plans and actions to correct and meet targets
