Adecco is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Process Technician for our clients Second Shift team in Peterborough, ON. As a Process Technician, you will play a key role in the development, documentation, and improvement of manufacturing processes for NPI products, Legacy products, and Special Processes. This is an On-site contract position, for their second shift – afternoons, and evenings, offering a competitive salary of $22.00-$27.00 per hour and a shift premium.

Shifts: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-1:00am – Friday 12:30pm-5:30pm

Detailed Job Description: As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for:
Participating in the development and documentation of work instructions for various products and equipment.
Suggesting improvements to existing processes and creating work instructions and jigs/fixtures.
Collaborating with Process Specialists to identify efficient manufacturing methods and processes.
Supporting the development of procedures for Special Process documentation and participating in equipment qualification tasks.
Preparing product and process reports, analyzing trends, and making data-driven recommendations.
Assisting in the production of prototypes and pre-production samples.
Contributing to the selection, installation, and qualification of new manufacturing equipment.
Ensuring manufacturing equipment remains operational and assisting with troubleshooting and repairs.
Handling programming duties for manufacturing equipment in work centers.
Training and supporting manufacturing personnel on processes and equipment usage.
Acting as a backup for coordinating internal and external preventive maintenance activities and equipment calibration.
Ensuring compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and industry standards.
Candidate’s Profile: To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Minimum 2- or 3-years college diploma in Electronics, Electromechanical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Proven proficiency in basic math, measurement, and electro mechanics.
At least 2 years of experience in an electronics circuit board and unit assembly environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of electronic manufacturing equipment methods and procedures.
Experience with 3D CAD and 3D printing preferred.
Detail-oriented with a keen interest in process documentation.
Ability to work independently and apply Lean Manufacturing Concepts.
Strong analytical problem-solving approach with hands-on experience.
Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of health, safety, and environment procedures in a manufacturing facility.
