Our commitment to our clients has led us to win countless awards in the design industry over many years.Please note this is not a remote position.The selected candidate will work in our showroom in Ottawa, ON.Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.What We Are Looking For?As our marketing coordinator, you will head all social media, website maintenance, paid advertisements (digital and traditional) and work with the team to promote our products, brand and eCommerce platform (coming up in April).

Your goal is planning, executing, managing, and optimizing a variety of strategies to keep Astro connected to its audience as well as support the marketing initiatives to enhance our brand and market positioning.What should you expect as a marketing coordinator at Astro?Develop and implement annual marketing plan including digital and traditional marketing, advertising, events, and ideas to generate new business.Plan, execute and monitor brand content, promotions, company information and marketing campaigns across different social media networks (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn).Actively engages with our customers through our social media channels and helps us to identify trends and opportunities.Map and execute a content strategy for social media platforms, email blasts and blog posts, taking into consideration trends in the design industry as well as digital marketing best practices.Use design tools to create appealing visual content for digital and magazine ads, and short videos for social media.

Keep our website current, updating news & events, contact information, photos, etc.Coordinate, and execute the strategy for paid ads in the digital space (including SEM, display/video ads, remarketing, social media, etc.).Coordinate with our designated photographer photoshoots for completed projects.Ecommerce: Execute marketing initiatives, including updating banners creating promotion codes, deploying newsletters, adding promotional messaging, Google Shopping and more.Skills & Attributes:Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in marketing, plus 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.) and email marketing (HubSpot, preferably).Experience with design tools (Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).

Knowledge of Google Ads, Facebook Business, Google Analytics, paid ads and search engine marketing.Experience with Shopify platform is a strong asset.A positive attitude, tact, diplomacy, discretion and relationship building when dealing with customers and the team.Enjoys contributing to a team, but able to work independently.

Creativity and passion to develop new and bold ideas.Pro-active, highly organized, detail-oriented and with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication.
