Communications and Investor Relations Specialist

This is a Contract position in Saint-Laurent, QC posted November 21, 2020.

Job Purpose: The Communications and Investor Relations Specialist will oversee and manage all matters relating to the Company’s communication activities and be responsible for nurturing and building relationships with stakeholders and the investment community by broadening and enhancing shareholder value and the organization’s financial image through an optimum investor and shareholder communications plan.

Responsibilities (tasks, duties): Understand the Company’s vision, business model, and value proposition and ensure that they are optimally reflected in all aspects of the corporate communications plan and investor relations Serve as a primary contact with the investor community Develop and execute a strategic investor relations plan that is aligned with the Company’s long-term goals Create a smooth and efficient communication plan and strategy between various stakeholders, including the shareholders and stock markets, and the leadership team Develop information and presentations for quarterly Board meetings and updates, Develop client-presentation materials for customized portfolio pitches Prepare reports on competitive intelligence, review of investor relations activities, industry issues, etc.

Monitor stock trading dynamics to report on institutional shareholder activity and share performance analysis for management.

Inform leadership team of daily share prices and volume trading activity Monitor market and industry news including competitor, regulatory, and external environment changes to understand potential impact on business and provide information to management Draft, compose, and distribute various press releases to report financial performance, mergers, acquisitions and other key business development opportunities and as well as corporate communications Develop and implement an organizational crisis communication plan in alignment with the corporate crisis management plan Partner with the marketing department to maintain the investor relations section of the company’s website and other social media platforms and ensure that they are up-to-date and consistent with accurate information, in a timely manner Partner with the finance department for content development and key messages for financial audiences, including investor presentations, Q&A for quarterly earning meetings, material for Board of Directors, and other investment and disclosure-related documents Plan and oversee the execution of leadership meetings, investor road shows, tours, conference calls, webcasts, and any other events for shareholders and investors Identify best practices and keep abreast of current events (macro and industry) to constantly improve the IR approach and the quality of documents Travel, as required Perform other related duties assigned Required qualifications: Training, degrees: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, Business Administration, Legal or Economics Experience, knowledge: At least 5 years of relevant experience in investor relations Bilingual French and English Substantial financial investment analysis experience Expertise in communicating and building relationships with financial analysts and institutional investors Proficiency in MS-Office Suite (excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Specific qualifications : Skills, aptitudes : Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Strong networking and interpersonal skills Facility to convert complex financial information into understandable text Excellent time management skills Polished presentation Initiative, attention to detail, creativity and ability to manage several priorities and deadlines Good understanding of relevant social media channels Attitudes : Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to project the Company’s values and professionalism in liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and in various venues
