And that’s why this role is so important.We’ve already got a thriving theme store in operation, and we need a marketing leader to take it to the next level.Themes are going through a renaissance at Shopify, and now is the perfect time for a leader to join us to set the stage for our future growth.

After years of underinvestment into theme infrastructure and the theme store, we’re set to launch major updates and focus on expanding our impact dramatically this year.

We’re looking to add a marketing leader to help us build strong foundations, and elevate our theme ecosystem to a world class level.

You’ll get to be in the weeds working closely with fast paced teams, zoom out to define global strategies and build a team to make sure we can be a world-leader in the space.Here’s What You’re Going To DoAttract and activate world class theme developers to our partner program to build themes that span a wide range of merchant segmentsAttract merchants to the theme store, and help them find the right theme for their business so they want to join our platform in the first place, or to grow if they are already on ShopifyLead a team of marketers, guiding their roadmaps, and levelling up their craft.

You will also be working cross-functionally with many different teams and stakeholders to prioritize projects and move initiatives forward.Help lead and define a global strategy for driving platform-wide growth for our theme marketplace.

You’re a strategist at heart but aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and execute marketing campaigns.With the Product team, develop and launch Partner facing products by defining the target segments, messages and channelsWork across teams including Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Support and Sales to drive growth successDrive cross-functional alignment through product development and creatively execute the go to market process, tracking success metrics accordinglyDevelop product positioning that differentiates products and features by understanding merchant and partner needs, product roadmap, market trends, and competitive forcesUse data to set goals, measure success and look for new opportunitiesAssess needs, build a team and manage that team for ongoing personal and professional growthConnect with leaders throughout the company to align our efforts with the goals of the rest of ShopifyQualificationsAnd here’s the experience we want you to have:You’ve created and applied user research to create user segments and improve marketingYou use data to set goals, measure success and look for new opportunitiesYou’re able to assess needs, build a team and manage that team for ongoing personal and professional growthYou’ve built and launched holistic marketing campaigns across multiple channelsYou’re skilled at marketing to international target audiences with multiple languagesUser journey mapping is your superpowerYou’ve built marketing automation flows to push users from awareness through to activation and retentionYou’re able to advocate for needs to other leaders, across disciplinesYou have experience working with developer audiences who have a technical focusYou have experience working on marketplaces or ecosystemsDON’T STOP READING!
