This is a fantastic opportunity to start your journey in the electric vehicle revolution.We are seeking a full-time Automotive Technician to join our lean and agile team in our New Westminster, BC office located at unit #33 Braid Street, New Westminster V3L 3P2.

This role reports to the Operations Supervisor.

The primary purpose of this job is to service, repair and refine ElectraMeccanica’s vehicles to ensure superior product quality.

A successful applicant will work well in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes teamwork and collaboration to achieve organization goals.Duties & ResponsibilitiesParts & Service Centre – Vehicle Production & Diagnosis Works with engineering team to determine faults and issues with vehicles.

Helps develop standard operating procedures to ensure vehicles are fully functional after service.

Communicates the need for components and parts with management to ensure vehicle service can be completed on-time.

Performs required service on vehicles that are returned to the production facility.

Capable of using company ERP systems as needed to locate parts and components.

Records processes and approaches towards vehicle repair and assembly – discusses unknowns with management and assembly team.

Understands the importance of diagnosis and correcting areas of concern with all ElectraMeccanica vehicles.

Inspecting, re-installing, and performing sub-assembly of vehicles if needed.

Assist with documenting the status and changes made to vehicles at ElectraMeccanica facilities.

Other Duties Other duties as required and assigned by management.

May be occasionally required to participate in vehicle delivery to other ElectraMeccanica locations or off-site vehicle testing.

May be required to assist with assembly and component installation as needed by your Manager.

Requirements Trade Schooling and Appropriate Certifications (ASE for example) considered an asset.

APICS & CPIM designations considered an asset.

High Level of Computer Literacy and familiarity with DMS/ERP software.

Verbal & Written communication skills – builds relationships across departments.

Critical Thinking skills.

Team player – comfortable consistently working with multiple teams.

Abides by company Health & Safety and Cleanliness standards.

Legally able to work in Canada.

Has a valid Driver’s license.
