Budget Planning Associate Analyst

This is a Contract position in Nobleton, ON posted April 22, 2021.

Budget Planning Associate Analyst

As the Budget Planning Associate Analyst, you will responsible for conducting and documenting budget and inventory KPIs for a defined product line. You will also provide day-to-day budget reporting support, including budget planning and sales forecasting.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the basic financial planning activities for the division, including the preparation of 6 budgets annually.
  • Provide basic support for the monthly revenue forecasts
  • Prepare basic assigned daily/monthly reports detailing business KPIs and revenue.  Ensure all timelines are met for reports
  • Analyze monthly variances against budget and prior year results
  • Analyze all inventory cost impacts such as purchase and freight variance, eco-fee reconciliation
  • Analyze and reduce inventory provisions (non-moving, slow-moving inventory, showroom, and refurbished units)
  • Consolidate monthly inventory KPI reports for senior management presentations
  • Ad hoc analysis and projects related to inventory planning, as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree is required preferably in business or management
  • 1-3 years of related work experience is required
  • 3 years of budgeting experience may substitute for the educational component
  • Intermediate analytical skills are required to analyze data, determine variances, and identify potential issues
  • Intermediate computer/technical skills are required to use pivot tables, vlookups, and basic formulas in Excel and build presentations in PowerPoint
  • Intermediate time management/multi-tasking skills are required to meet monthly deadlines
  • Basic project/process management skills are required to follow project instructions and financial processes
  • French is an asset
