As an outgoing and enthusiastic member of the team, the Coordinator manages the recruitment process as well as the Employee Experience Program for the Resort.

This is a full-time core role.

Responsibilities: Recruitment:
· Manage the recruitment process for all vacant core and seasonal roles including job posting, resume review, pre-screening candidates, creating and sending offers and collecting all hiring forms
· Support managers with all recruitment needs from posting jobs to fully spearheading the recruitment process in place of the manager when required
· Understand the demographic of the KHMR workforce, including a comprehensive knowledge of all of the jobs and working style of each manager in order to hire the best fit for the resort and department
· Organize and represent the Resort during recruitment trips and job fairs
· Update job descriptions and manage all internal and external job postings using the RCR applicant tracking system, Work BC, CWSAA, Go2HR, social media and more
· Coordinate recruitment process for new hires (communicate with candidates, update on status, assist with screening and short-listing)
· Conduct market research to ensure KHMR wages remain competitive within the ski industry and Columbia Valley
· Maintain all content on the KHMR Careers webpage – FAQ’s, facts about Golden, employment information about KHMR, living in Golden, etc.

working closely with the sales and marketing department
· Respond efficiently and professionally to all applicant inquiries regarding employment
· Assist in coordination and preparation of materials for recruitment fairs
· Update and organize seasonal and year-round job descriptions and track all vacant and filled positions regularly
· Assist with administration and data input during seasonal hiring process to provide seasonal Offers of Employment
· Ensure all necessary employee training is completed, documented, tracked in a central location and stored in employee files
· Train and assist managers with the recruitment process of foreign applicants for all departments, manage all documentation required
· Maintain records for professional development and training programs
· Provide backup for data input of new employees to time-keeping & payroll system Employee Experience:
· Manage employee recognition programs including Horseshoes, Guiding Principle Awards, Long Term Service Awards, birthdays, work anniversaries and other special occasions
· Plan, coordinate and execute all employee events including but not limited to: holiday parties, end of season parties, staff ski days, employee appreciation breakfasts and dinners, staff BBQ’s, going away events and other staff functions.

· Assist in the planning, coordination and administration of manager and team lead training sessions including logistics, conducting a needs assessment for topics, set up
· Assist in planning and coordination of semi-annual employee orientation, organizing the food and beverage component, designing the PowerPoint presentation and more.

· Prepare and manage the annual Events and Recognition Approval For Expenditure (AFE) forms.

· Draft staff announcements for core staff including new hires, change in roles and resignations.

· Manage document control, both electronic and physical including employee files, the Master Hiring Spreadsheet, Staff Spousal and Family Pass List, training documents and more
· Work with People Managers to set consistent uniform guidelines
· Administer the Professional Development Education and Training Request (ETR) Program
· Act as the face of Employee Experience, touring the resort and regularly interacting with staff
· Prepare and communicate weekly employee newsletter, including sourcing out content, improving communication across resort, staying current with information
· Work closely with Guest Services to administer Staff and Family Season Passes, Family & Friend Vouchers, Staff Pass Refunds, Reciprocal Programs, Staff Discounts and pro deals
· Administer the annual Employee Engagement Survey, monitor participation, compile results, review action plans with managers and communicate changes to staff
· Manage mid-season and end of season performance reviews for seasonal staff, tracking progress and provide updates to management
· Participate in at least 4 hours of professional development training per year related to relevant topics
· Prepare and submit weekly report
· Participate in bi-weekly RCR HR conference calls
· Contribute to new ideas to improve workflow and processes
· Update and create tools, resources, templates, and forms as needed Other:
· Attend weekly Manager’s Meetings, taking and distributing minutes when needed
· Support the Payroll/HR Manager and OH&S/Wellness Coordinator in their absence

· Previous post secondary education in Business, Commerce, or Human Resources an asset
· Minimum 3 years previous experience in an administration or coordination role
· Previous exposure or experience in a human resources department an asset
· High level of experience in recruitment required
· Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to write professional correspondence
· High level of experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
· Demonstrated professional conduct, with ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, discretion and tact
