As anElectronics Test Designer/ Engineeryou will contribute to the design and manufacturing of our advanced lighting fixtures and you will be working with our engineering and production teams to design tests and develop testing systems.GVA Lighting creates outstanding lighting systems and signature lighting projects worldwide in cooperation with the best lighting designers and architects in the world.

Our engineering, design and manufacturing takes place right here in the Greater Toronto Area and you can be a part of it Check out some of the amazinglighting projectswe completed recently.Production Testing:Actively participate in the NPI process, develop & modify test methods andprotocols, verify test methods and protocols, design test procedures and routines; Develop and build production testing jigs from the scratch and upgrading existing jigs, including schematics design, software, and mechanical enclosures; Production testtroubleshooting and full support of production testing activities; Testing jigs and equipment repairs, maintenance and calibration; Test results analysis, failure analysis and investigation; Continuous improvement, resolving safety concerns, sticking to 5S and Lean manufacturing principals; Automated Testing Environment (ATE):Participate in development, support and maintaining of automated testing environment (ATE); Assist in the development of electronic and electrical systems intended for automated testing or monitoring of LED Luminaire devices; Assist in the development of software and firmware for systems intended for the testing or monitoring of LED Luminaire devices; Create well-documented and maintainable code; Work closely with other departments in a multi-disciplinary environment to achieve set goals; Assist with test equipment assembly, testing, debugging, commissioning and delivery of systems or applications to end users; Apply creative and innovative thinking to processes and developments to find new and efficient ways to test LED Luminaire devices; General duties:Prepare and revise work instructions, SOPs, conduct trainings for production personnel, create and maintain other documentation as needed in support of QMS and ISO systems; Support Reliability and RMA Department, in terms of tests arrangement, failure data analysis and troubleshooting.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education; 3 years’ experience in electronics products testing; Electronics design experience and testing systems design for production is must; Should have solid understanding of electronics concepts and devices; Some knowledge and experience with Altium (or similar) and programming languages (C++, Python) is preferred; Some experiencewith jigs’ design for PCBA testing and final goods testing; Proficiency with electronics testing tools and measuring equipment; Hand-on experience in soldering and working with the tools, assembling electronics testing jigs; Highly collaborative and inventive, capable of offering technically sound solutions.During the selection process you might undergo psychometric tests, as well as practical exercises to help us identify those who have the right attitude, skills, know-how and to find a cultural fit with our company’s values.Why GVA?We offer valuable learning opportunities enabling professional growthYou will receive a competitive salary based on skills and experienceYou may take pride in having participated in landmark projects at home and around the worldWhen you work with us you can qualify for professional development, employer sponsored health benefits and retirement savings planGVA Lighting is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to the attraction, selection, advancement and fair treatment of all individuals.In accordance with the Human Rights Code and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Acta request for accommodation will be accepted as part of the GVA Lighting hiring process.
