What You Will Be Doing

• Operate and maintain Front-End loaders in an efficient and safe manner under constant changing conditions
• Loading gravel trucks and flat beds hauling lock blocks
• Feeding the Concrete Ready Mix Plant
• Yard labour which may include busting and building blocks to loading trucks with washout material
• Accurate completion of paperwork including any required safety documentation
• Minor equipment maintenance and upkeep
• Contribute to keeping locations in and around the plant clean
• Assisting other sectors of the operation as required

Reality of the Job

• You will work long hours during peak times
• You will work some Saturday’s during peak times

Requirements

What We Would Like From You

• Experience in the operation of Front-End Loaders
• Heavy equipment knowledge and experience
• Aggregate, concrete, construction or mining experience preferred
• Knowledge of concrete batch plant operation ideal
• Safe Driver record with a clean Drivers Abstract
• Good mathematical/mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work long hours on short notice when necessary, as well as Saturdays during peak summer season
• A safety mindset and the ability to get things done safely in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Be subject to working conditions in and out of the operation which will include varying weather and temperatures, heavy lifting over (23+ kgs or 50+ lbs)
• Must have a track record of being punctual and reliable
