Job Overview Benchmark is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Pension Specialist in our actuarial division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading legislative and communication efforts, in both English and French, for pension plan clients.

This position reports to the Director, Actuarial Division, in Winnipeg, MB, though we will consider candidates working remotely in other locations.

Job Duties Keep abreast of all legislative changes across Canada applicable to pension plans, assess the impact thereof, and prepare detailed reports for consideration Track pension plan and legislative rules by jurisdiction Interpret pension legislation and respond to enquiries regarding same Communicate with regulatory bodies across Canada and assist with government filings Lead plan member communication efforts, including notices, members’ booklets, plan websites Draft and review official pension plan documents and administrative forms and letters Translate client documentation, as necessary Communicate regularly with other regional offices Assist with special projects as required Application Requirements A university degree in an applicable field 5 years of pension related experience Experience with legislation in multiple jurisdictions in Canada Fluency in both English and French Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Strong interpersonal skills An ability to work independently and in team environments PBAS welcomes applications from people with disabilities.
