This is a Full-time position in Halifax, NS posted April 23, 2021.

Location: Aurora, Ontario Department: Marketing Reports to: Director, Merchandising & Marketing Employment Status: Full-Time Job Purpose This position is responsible to shoot, edit, and produce photos and videos for e-commerce, social media, marketing and advertising materials.

The role requires a high level of passion for media production.

This position will work directly with key members of the Marketing team, including our Social Media Specialist and Director, Merchandising & Marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities Project/Task Management Story board, shoot, edit and post product/lifestyle photography and videos.

Capture and create instructional, promotional and informational videos.

Retouch/edit all photos, and add visual effects and graphics to videos.

Collaborate with the Marketing and Merchandising team to create compelling content for our website, email Marketing platform, social media channels, and advertisement.

Edit and save photos and videos with proper formatting to be displayed on websites, Social channels, and other.

Input music, dialogues, graphics and other effects.

Ability to manipulate and edit video pieces in a way that is seamless to the audience Determine new editing technologies and remain current with industry best practices to maximize efficiency.

Work with the Director, Merchandising & Marketing and provide input into the annual department budget planning process, as required.

Ensure proper execution of internal procedures throughout project lifecycle Communication Communicate within the Marketing team and other Departments about asset requests, timelines, and progress.

Provide weekly status updates to the Director, Merchandising & Marketing.

Ensure ongoing communication with peers, customers, vendors and stake holders during the course of project(s) to ensure ongoing alignment, transfer and collection of key information, and consistent project status awareness from production to post-production.

Maintain daily communication flow within the Marketing Department on project status, progress and ensure adherence to project timelines in accordance with Company standards.

Partnership Work with other internal departments/teams to understand their goals and come up with creative ideas and solutions.

Work in partnership with internal departments/teams to meet defined deadlines and standards to ensure customer satisfaction.

Effectively build and maintain positive departmental and inter-departmental relations.

Teamwork Coordinate work-flow among all project members to ensure transfer of necessary information and project completion in a timely manner.

Build cross-functional relationships within the department and with other department leads from project inception to completion.

Accountability Ensure project are in executed in accordance with project expenditures to ensure alignment with assigned budgets.

Responsible for all published content on all media platforms.

Ensure timely creation and processing of P.O.’s and expenses in compliance with operating procedures.

Detail Orientation Collect, review and supervise internal approvals of all ad proofs.

Promotes and works to maintain workplace wellness, health and safety, through active compliance with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

Any other duties as required.

1-3 years’ experience in photography/ videography (in-house or freelance) 1-3 years’ experience editing and retouching photos/videos using; After Effect, Capture One, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop 1-2 years’ experience working with both daylight and studio lighting Intermediate technical knowledge of cameras, lighting and studio equipment, including maintenance.

1-2 years’ experience working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment 1-2 years’ experience working with multiple project simultaneously and ability to adapt to last minute changes in direction, design and/or project execution.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency with Google Drive Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) Demonstrable portfolio
