– $99,528 per annum Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week Status: Permanent Full-time University Health Network (UHN) is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of Senior Business Analyst in our Financial Planning & Reporting Department.

As an integral member of the Financial Planning and Reporting team in Research Financial Services supporting the manager, the responsibilities of the Senior Business Analyst are primarily: Financial Accounting, Reporting & Audit: Co-ordinate the month-end process and ensure all entries are accounted for Prepare monthly journal entries and oversee the month-end close in Research Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP Prepare monthly accurate, timely financial analysis against budget & prior year Prepare annual balance sheet budget and quarterly forecast and related analyses Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations and leadsheets Set up new cost centres in SAP and other applications and maintain Cost Centre structure Assist in UHN’s year-end audit, including preparing year end audit working papers Prepare other external year-end reporting, e.g.

Provincial Consolidation, NIH Indirect Cost Rate Proposal, other surveys, etc.

Prepare Research portion of T3010 Registered Charity Information Return (Canada)and Form 990 Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax (US) Perform other responsibilities and Ad hoc projects to support the team as required Qualifications: University Degree and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation 5 years’ experience in large complex accounting or auditing environment with exposure to a range of accounting principles, practices and procedures required Computer software proficiency in SAP and Advanced Excel, with an aptitude for learning new computer applications quickly Excellent analytical, problem solving and attention to detail with the ability to identify trends, and provide business recommendations Experience in a healthcare environment preferred Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and communication skills Ability to take initiative and embrace challenges Excellent customer services skills required Adheres to confidentiality policy for sensitive financial data and information Ability to work accurately under time constraints required Experience working in a 5-day close environment Experience with process improvement Critical thinking skills and willingness to challenge the status quo Ability to work independently and as a great team player who brings the positive impact to the team and thrives in a changing environment A strong service orientation with a passion to advance the mission of UHN If you are interested in making your contribution at UHN, please apply on-line.
