S/he is responsible for the efficient execution of the day-to-day tasks on site.

These include tasks such as supervising a crew of 2 – 4 employees, planning daily production and working on site with the crew to keep projects on schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager.

S/he is constantly providing mentorship and support to Lead Hands and Assistants with the intent on improving employee productivity and creating additional value for the company in softscape operational areas.

· Plans, delegates and oversees the onsite tasks necessary to complete softscape install projects
· Envisions project completion and sets out relevant, time bound goals for crews to achieve
· Mentors and guides direct reports
· Monitors production of the crews
· Engages in conflict resolution and works with managers to resolve issuesProject Production
· Develops and implements daily production plans for Softscape crews with the Field Project Manager
· Controls production and production standards on the job site as required
· Monitors and reports progress daily to Field PMInstalling materials such as soil, mulch, lawns, synthetic turf, plants, trees and aggregates or stones to make small patios or spaces, paving stones, retaining walls, drainage and landscape lightingMow lawns, trim edges, clean up refuse, blow trimmings, fertilize and water turf areas and perform other lawn and garden care dutiesWeed, prune, and trim trees and plantsUtilize hand tools, power tools, and other necessary equipment to complete job tasksApply fertilizers to gardensOperate power equipment including, but not limited to, lawn tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, aerators and power rakesMove and transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies and manual liftingPerform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments, shop and equipmentPerform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning daily
· Reviews project success and provides feedback for improvement in conjunction with management
· Identifies and recommends processes and procedures for the company
· Protects the company against wasteful, inefficient, unsafe, and fraudulent practicesAlways wear appropriate personal protective equipmentComply with all company policies and regulationsMaintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areasEnsure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members follow government and company PPE standardsEnforce and work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations at shop/yard and on jobsitesAssist with or partake in Employee training when requiredCommunicate with customers in a polite and courteous mannerHR
· Communicates to Field Project Manager regarding direct/indirect reports as needed
· Reprimands direct reports according to company policy and discipline escalation procedure
