Voltera: People Operations Lead


This is a Full-time position in Guelph, ON posted February 2, 2021.

Job DescriptionAbout UsVoltera designs, builds, and sells tools for hardware developers.

Our current product shrinks an entire circuit board manufacturing factory to a laptop-sized machine that sits right on their desk.

This cuts each iteration of their design process from weeks to days.

It is currently used by Fortune 500 companies, small design studios, and academic institutions in over 60 countries.

They use it to build products that save lives, explore space, keep us entertained, teach the next generation of engineers, and so much more.The RoleOver the past few years, we’re proud of our team and the culture we’ve built.

But as we grow, it becomes more difficult to passively maintain that strong culture.

This is where you come in.

We’re looking for someone who has experience in an HR / People Operations role that can help build out the tools and processes that will enable the team to scale successfully from recruiting and onboarding to culture-building and personal development.

You are a self-starter and can not only identify areas to improve, but spearhead those projects and see them through to completion.ResponsibilitiesAssist in recruitment, hiring and onboarding activitiesFormalizing and maintaining employee handbookFacilitate employee training and developmentResponsible for cultivating and maintaining information in our HRIS systemLead our Health & Safety committeeOrganize and coordinate company outings/activitiesRequirements5+ years of experience in People Operations or related experienceStrong hiring ability and experience building out exceptional teamsExperience in employee training, onboarding and developmentStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHas an analytical mindset and thrives off of dataStrong interpersonal skillsNice to HaveCHRP designationExperience implementing and using an HRIS platform (BambooHR preferred)
