As a key member of the Canadian Leadership team, the VP, Business Development will take charge of setting and facilitating the Revenue Growth Strategy of our agency in conjunction with the SVP, Growth for North America.

Responsible for net-new growth opportunities for the organization, the VP, Business Development will spearhead prospecting new clients, leading pitches and closing business for the Canadian office.

Key Responsibilities Complete ownership and responsibility acquiring net new client accounts and delivering on strategic partnerships that will enable both agency(s) to reach the next stage of their growth.

Lead and drive results in all aspects of B2B Marketing to build the sales funnel by prospecting, generating qualified leads, pitching and acquiring new business.

Leverage existing relationships and build new strategic relationships to increase awareness of the Agency’s Brands in the marketplace.

Lead the development and facilitation of the Agency’s Growth Plan in conjunction with the SVP Growth and Senior Leadership Team.

This includes; new business development, PR, thought leadership, external content outreach, recommendations on strategic partnership and acquisitions, etc.

Be a critical driver in target attainment, and have a “no excuses” mentality where meeting and exceeding sales/ client acquisition targets are concerned.

Function as a thought leader and external promoter for our Agency Brands in the marketplace.

Professional Skills & Requirements BA in marketing or related field, MBA preferred; 10 years’ experience in the agency world
– ideally in business development Proven track record gaining agency new business
– both prospecting and pitching; Ability to engage with top-level decision makers of prospective clients; Proven strategic marketer, but also a hands-on leader who’s willing to embody a make-it-happen mindset; Strategic thinking skills, with experience in brainstorming strategic marketing programs; Outstanding and tenured business acumen, with excellent oral and written presentation skills; Pro-active and self-starter; Fearless in approach, risk taker; Intellectually curious; Inspiring and charismatic, with a dynamic in-room presence.
