Position Description Position Summary: The Retail IT Specialist functions as a key contributor to the IT Department and overall organization to empower a creative, data driven culture to support the organization in achieving business goals by leveraging effective, progressive technology.

The Retail IT Specialist ensures the reliable performance & security of on-site systems in the Convivence Store and Cardlock locations owned and operated by Wilcox Flegel.

Troubleshoots and resolves any retail related hardware, software, user access or other problems.

The Retail IT Specialist participates in projects to gather user requirements, design, configure, evaluate, and implement applicable systems & software.

Monitors system performance and usage to maintain security and reliability.

Additionally, the Retail IT Specialist coordinates new software releases, fixes, and upgrades.

Responsible to consistently role model our Core Values.

Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities: Oversees retail system performance and troubleshoots issues.

Maintains retail systems including software and hardware.

Works directly with software vendors for product upgrades, optimizations, and configuration.

Enforces cyber security policies.

Performs hardware upgrades following new releases.

Maintains internal documentation for system configuration and processes.

Installs and configures equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues.

Communicates networking issues to other team members and management.

Identifies and communicates issues related to end user training.

Helpdesk support for retail system related issues.

Responsible for providing outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.

Critical Core Competencies and Skills: Understanding of retail business systems, networks, and hardware.

Knowledge and application of cybersecurity best practices.

Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skill.

Must be highly organized with strong ability to multi-task.

Able to assess competing demands and determine appropriate direction.

Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environment; agile, flexible and resilient.

Minimum Education and Experience: Associate degree in a computer-related discipline required or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory.

Basic understanding of cyber security frameworks and PCI compliance.

Two years of helpdesk experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience: Two or more years in helpdesk role in a retail environment.

Proficient with or able to quickly learn networks and software used by the organization.

Equipment and Software Requirements: Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience using a helpdesk ticketing system.

Understanding of retail back-office systems.
