Senior and Junior Account Executives

Connex Telecommunications Inc.

Description Overview: Working in partnership with the Corporate CEO, Head of Sales and V.P.

Products, this person is responsible for development of key relationships at Executive, Director and Management level within target verticals to enable the development of new business sales opportunities.

Core verticals include Highly Regulated Industries, including Banking/Financial Services, Legal, Accounting/Consulting, as well as local, regional and provincial governments, Public Safety/Police Services.

Revenue will be delivered through the entire portfolio of solutions and services, including Professional Services, and service add-ons.

Reports to: Head of Sales Position Accountabilities: Management of all aspects of the sales cycle from lead generation through to the proposal, presentation and finally to contract negotiation and close.

Leverages an established network within the industry to create new sales opportunities and warm opportunity referrals.

Generation of sales leads through attendance at exhibitions, seminars and other sales events.

Strategic networking with the customer, building long term relationships, understanding business drivers and developing strategic initiatives.

Generation of sales opportunities through cold calling and working with internal and external resources to maximize the sales pipeline.

Builds upon and leverages established “Go to Market” strategies for all product lines, including direct, Reseller and Channel strategies, ensuring clearly defined competitor differentiation and early adoption.

Maintains a working list of prospects, sales opportunities and contact notes in the company authorized CRM, our sales pipeline tool, in an up to date and orderly fashion, and follows a well documented action plan to track and report on completion of sale.

Produce accurate sales forecasts on a monthly basis that detail sales pipeline, opportunities generated and projected close dates.

Works with Product Management, Software Development and CTO to ensure that the product is aligned to the needs of the market.

Understands all aspects of the costing model for each product offering and prepares impactful sales proposals for upwards review and approval, prior to delivery to target clients.

Establishes and maintains contacts and relationships with senior business and government executives, specifically in target sectors.

Market Awareness and Leads Creation: Acts as an industry and solution thought leader at customer and industry events.

Speaks and writes with clarity and credibility in front of C-level executives and broader audiences, including both informed individuals and lay-people.

Successfully tailors presentations and demonstrations for customers, trade shows, and special events.

Researches the industry on an on-going basis to know what changes may be on the horizon that will impact current and future sales, providing requirements back to Product and Engineering.

Condenses information into reports for a wide variety of uses from marketing and sales to Engineering and R&D.

Contributes to blogs, vlogs and articles.

Documents reference architectures and defining vertical-specific use-cases.

Speaks at industry events.

Participates in Weekly Sales Team calls, proactively identifying opportunity to support sales partners in bringing proposals through the sales pipeline.

Technical Skills/Qualifications: Strong understanding of the cybersecurity market 5 years experience working in an enterprise sales environment with proven results Able to configure standard installations according to customer requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently Proven organizational skills
