Warehouse and Purchasing Manager (Bilingual)Location – Val D’Or, QCClient – A well-established Canadian mining companySUMMARYThe Warehouse and Purchasing Manager’s responsibility is to ensure the proper functioning of the warehouse and purchasing department so that operational needs are met in a continuous and efficient manner.

The Manager must ensure compliance with established purchasing policies and procedures.

This position reports to the Project Manager.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Duties and responsibilities include, but is not limited to:Supervision of the purchasing department and the warehouse.Ensures the proper management of purchase requisitions sent by all departments of a mining company as well as the warehouse while respecting purchasing policies.Ensures that deadlines are met and follow-ups are made when necessary.Negotiates with suppliers the price and delivery of the material to be purchased.Set up procedures in order to optimize different processes.Maintains a close relationship with the administration department to ensure the accuracy of transactions.Participate in the risk analysis of operations including the management of critical parts.Ensures compliance with the Company’s purchasing policies and code of ethics.Meets with suppliers and representatives regarding potential purchases.Application and respect of all norms, regulations, standards, codes and laws in force at the Mining Complex and in Quebec.Maintains its workplace in an orderly, clean and safe condition.All other activities that may be assigned to him by his supervisor.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSDEC in Accounting and Management Techniques.Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement.Must be fully bilingual English/FrenchExperience and good knowledge of suppliers in the mining industry.Ability to work under pressure, in a team setting and meet costs and deadlines.Good negotiator, able to reach compromises with the parties involved.Work in a safe manner, good knowledge of Quebec laws and regulations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills (French and English).Good computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP software.Understanding and development of functions specific to his position in the SAP software.The buyer maintains good relations with suppliers.Good knowledge of the mining industry in general and of mechanics.Interested applicants should send their resumes in MS Word format to quoting‘’Warehouse & Purchasing Manager’’ inthe subject line.Agilus thanks all candidates for their interest in this opportunity.Due to the volume of resumes we receive we may only be able to respond directly to those candidates being selected for an interview.Accommodations for job applicants with disabilities will be provided upon request during the recruitment, assessment, selection and placement process.Alternative formats available upon request.
