Our expectations The Assistant Operations Manager (AOM) assists the Operations Manager (OM) in managing operations and staffing for all departments that report to operations.

The AOM supervises a high performing team of Operations Supervisors that is responsible for monitoring the movement of inventory safely, efficiently and effectively through the facility undamaged.

The position analyzes the forecasted production volume and reevaluates resources throughout the day as workflow conditions change to meet store demand.

With the Supervising staff, the AOM works to achieve or exceed facility performance goals despite these fluctuating demands.

The AOM resolves issues, addresses safety concerns, and is responsible for communicating business objectives and daily workload plans.

He/She engages in employee relations regarding the relationship that the employees have with the organization and with each other.

Through this process, the AOM will develop, implement, administer, and analyze the employer-employee relationship.

It is expected that the AOM actively searches and implements improvements on safety standards as well efficiency and productivity of the operations.

This position is for our Weekend shift.

The schedule is from Friday to Sunday from 6:30am to 6:00pm.

Your role: Builds a culture of safety in the work environment by identifying and resolving any safety issues on the floor and notifying the appropriate party for resolution as required.

Support the workplace investigation process.

Determines the workload (production volume) for the day and adjust daily strategy as need to meet key performance targets including staffing needs Interview and assist HR in the hiring of personnel; provide input to temporary employee evaluations Mentor and monitor Operations Coaches’ performance; ensure Team Members are executing assigned tasks accurately and as scheduled Set Operations Coaches up for success; achieve or exceed key performance indicators, safety, performance and budget targets Communicate effectively with Operations Coaches regarding business objectives, safety issues, current issues, upcoming events and demand for the day Identify and assist in implementing of process improvements to improve operational efficiency and safety in the building as well as new processes launched from Corporate Expedite receiving, picking and shipping of priority product (e.g.

Special Order Express (S.O.E.) or Special Order Sales (S.O.S.)) Ensure Team Members are cross-trained in multiple positions for rotating into those positions when the need arises Provide for effective and accurate communication of all aspects of operations to all appropriate members of the team.

Ensure minimum or zero products are damaged when being handled; Identify processes that are not in tune with best methods Monitor feedback from stores to identify potential issues that occur with product handling Other duties as assigned Exigences du poste The qualifications we are looking for Post-secondary education (Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Transportation, Business, preferred) or equivalent work experience Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in a distribution center Proven record for complying with safety requirements.
