About the role Our Modis brand, within The Adecco Group, is hiring a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our Toronto team.

We are looking for a resourceful team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the BDM is responsible for selling the professional services of Modis in a branch location and/or at the national account level.

Come and be part of turning disruption into direction and evolution into advantage.What youll be doing Meets the established sales expectations through placement of Modis resources by developing relationships with the Client hiring managersNegotiating assignments and business terms of contracts, and securing profitable pricing with the Client companies to ensure proper business strategies are aligned to branch and company policies and goalsIn conjunction with or under Sales Directors supervision must negotiate and secure profitable pricing and is responsible for supporting the branch GM% goalsIn conjunction with or under Managing Directors supervision will be responsible for negotiating assignment extensions and pricing increasesExpanding relationships within existing clients and also with target accounts, as well as expanding business through new account developmentPrepare and deliver sales presentationsSell new offerings from Modis (consulting, academy) by contacting existing and new clients and generate leads for conversion to projects Job Requisition management and securing and qualifying job requirements from the existing clients and target accountsGathering pertinent information from hiring manager/s and other stakeholders, that allows us to successfully recruit and match qualified candidatesResponsible for submitting candidates to the Clients open positions and obtaining client feedback regarding the submittal.Involve recruiters in clients meeting/job intake to maximize consultant relationship buildingCoordinate interview process with client hiring managers, Resource Development Managers (RDMs) and candidatesEstablish rapport with consultants while out on client assignmentsActively seeking new placement opportunities for consultants nearing the completion of current assignmentsStay in touch with consultants and direct hire placements to get internal information and maximize recruiter relationship buildingCommunicating requisition information and the profile of the client companies to the recruiting staff membersTalk strategy with recruiting team and lead business planningBuilding business with companies in surrounding territory and continuously work on territory planning and branch footprintProjecting business growth with existing accountsMaintain a consistent pipeline of prospective business and ensure database is maintained and updatedEnter and maintain records in Bullhorn regarding job order activities, client contacts and meetings, submittals, interviews and placements at all timeAssists in other branch operations as directed by the Managing DirectorAttends networking events to promote the Modis branch and services, and solicits opportunities to speak before professional organizations and business groupsAbout you We want to set you up for success!

To help us do that, here is what we are looking for from you:Diploma/Degree in business, economics or has equivalent work experienceMinimum 1-5 years of experience, and a proven track record of successPrior Private Sector IT staffing experience in sales/business development/recruiting would be an assetSolution Selling experience would be appreciatedProven track record of sales/recruiting for technology roles or relatedStrong English Language communication skills both verbal and in writingExceptional customer service skillsA strong sales attitude with results driven approachHigh sense of urgency and is adept at multi-taskingAbility to build strong relationships externally with candidates and clients as well as internally with consultants and colleaguesAbility to take initiative, prioritize workload and independently complete a variety of administrative dutiesDemonstrated ability in building effective work relationships and influencing decision makersDemonstrate a good level of professionalism, maintain discretion and work collaboratively with teamAbility to work independently, and in a different location than your managerFlexibility with the ability to adjust and refocus priorities based on changing business needs; Team player attitude and willingness to take directionGood judgement and decision-making abilityProactive and results driven approachExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Why choose us?
