For more information, visit or follow us SyscoCanada at ; or For a full list of opportunities, visit Role: The Field Director of Local Sales will support the Field VP of Local Sales in the strategy, growth and modernization of the following functional departments: Local Sales Compensation, Local Sales Corporate Rewards and Recognition, Customer Performance, Market Analytics, Customer Insights, Sales Development, Sales Technology – eCommerce, Ordering Tools, CRM/ Sysco 360.

This position will support the strategic leadership for the Regional Local Sales organization with tight linkage to Regional and Corporate leadership teams to enable profitable market share growth and the modernization of the Local Sales division in Canada.

Role Responsibilities: Support/Lead Sysco Canada’s Recipe for Growth deployment and Winning Independents strategies; annual strategic planning, deployment of market share growth initiatives, sales modernization/team selling advancement, compensation and performance management programs, recognition programs, PGM & Sysco Brand leadership and enable resources required by local sales Work cross functionally with Revenue Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Human Resources, Customer Connect and Marketing to develop revenue, margin and operational growth strategies for Canada Lead alignment and communication between the CSC and field with Local Sales Directors
– Street, LCC, Business Resources, Customer Experience Support Market Analytics & Customer Insights team to develop and deliver regional/national analytics programs Support Field Sales Technology and Sysco’s overall Digital strategy in partnership with Business Technology to accelerate eCommerce, enhance ordering, CRM/Salesforce, Sysco Shop and Price FX Support the Sales Development team to develop and deliver local and national sales development programs to enhance sales capability.

Support advancement of Team selling structure Communicates broadly and frequently the company’s vision, direction, goals, performance against plan, changes, and expectations through participation in department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and informal conversations with associates Responsible for ensuring that product food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.

Understands both the economic and cultural value that a safe organization with minimal environmental impact brings to an organization.

Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by providing necessary resources and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements: Minimum 4 years leading a B2B sales team in a professional sales environment or equivalent experience, with demonstrated success in sales planning, performance management and insights-driven strategy Bachelor’s degree in a related field required Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analyzing reports & deriving insights from data Strong financial acumen and ability to properly plan and execute business plans Demonstrated skills in consultative selling, networking and negotiations Strong communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams Ability to learn the use of proprietary CRM tools for planning and forecasting sales growth Lead a team of high performing associates to deliver against deadlines and produce high-quality results (accuracy, thoroughness in the deliverables they are producing) Business and restaurant operations acumen Proficient in Microsoft Applications Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM) Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute multiple initiatives at the same time Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle may be required as Some ad-hoc travel is required (less than 10%).
